Feeding the Puppy Dog
After a week, Emmett finally was willing to pet the puppy dog.... we eventually got him to even feed the puppy dog!!! Now, when the puppy gets to close, he just pushes the puppy dog away and tells him to 'git'. My brave little man!

Baby #2
My apologies if I was supposed to call you in person to let you know that *Yeah!* we're expecting BabyLindberg #2. I'm not so good about knowing how these things should be handled so I usually tell my family and let word of mouth take care of the rest. It usually seems to work but at times it doesn't quite do it.
We're about 12 to 13 weeks along (there's some discrepency due to the baby's size so everyone pray that this one is not a 10 1/2 lber again :) . We're of course very excited. We'd love either a boy or a girl as long as its healthy!!!!
I'm very excited about the OBGYN I've found in 'sort of' our area. I actually have to drive about a 1/2 hour but that's not too bad! YEAH! I was super worried about that to be honest because while there are a lot of options in our area.... I'm pretty picky.
I'm excited about the hospital too. They're opening up special rooms (we might be one of the first ones to get to use them) for babies born without medication and its just reassuring that you know whoever is working in there knows about your expectations before the whole labor thing begins!
Anywho. I'll probably keep you updated from time to time. I'm just now getting over a icky stomach flu that's lasted going on ~4 days. I'm starting to feel better but weak because I haven't been up to eating much. I've been reassured the baby is FINE though and I actually have an appointment tomorrow so we'll probably get to double check then.

Poison Control on Speed Dial
Our son now has me convinced that we need to put the Poison Control number on speed dial. He doesn't purposely try to give me gray hairs but he does such a very good job at it.
The other day we were at my parents and Emmett so desperately wanted to go outside. He had several willing, yet busy takers. Once outside he was on cloud nine: chasing cats, hitting the dog, shooting hoops with his uncle, sweeping the sidewalk with grandma.... Only problem was no one person was for sure in charge of him. (You would think it would for sure be his mother but I was inside making supper and trying to keep a random eye on him from the front window.)
This is where we lost him for a bit. His Auntie did eventually find him locked in the garage (his new thing is shutting doors), swinging the golf club around (we think all the vehicles are okay) and playing with a spray bottle of OdoBan. Scare mommy to death! We quick peeled and label back and it said if on skin contact you had to wash for 15-20 minutes. Auntie jumped in the shower with Emmett and continually scrubbed him down while I called poison control.
I might not have have been as worried but he has a squirt bottle at home he likes to use as a sippie cup so how much of it he drank is still unknown. Thankfully, he was going to be fine.... just needed some juice because I guess it has some alcohol in it.
Emmett's fine. Poison Control is going on speed dial for sure with this one. I had a VERY clean kid at the end of the day :)

First Ear of Corn
This is a pretty long video... Emmett's eating his first ear of corn. We didn't really have to show him what to do, he had been watching us the day before. He did however pretty much clean off the ear!!!
Man's Work
Emmett got to help Daddy put the new grill together a few weeks ago. Here starts a long tradition of the two of them working on things together :O)

Mommy's Scare
What a morning last Friday. Emmett had gotten up early so we were getting few things done around the house when I realize that he is really quiet. As that is usually a bad sign, I went to check on him to find him playing with daddy's deodorant container. I didn't think too much about it until I realized he had white stuff around his mouth. Oh goodness! He's eaten his daddy's deodorant!! I quick checked the container and of course it said take him to the ER or call poison control.
Problem: I don't know where the ER is. Never had to go up to this point.
So I called Matthew and no answer. We then called poor Aunty Laura at 6:30 in the morning!!!! She graciously gave us directions and offered to call poison control while we rushed to the ER.
We weren't even half way there when she called back.... Emmett should be fine. Wash out his mouth, he'll probably throw up, nothing to really worry about.
Phew.
We went home. He didn't really throw up anymore than normal. He acted fine the whole day. I was thankful for this and that we didn't have to go to the ER in our pjs and wild morning hair.
Thank you Jesus! And Aunty Laura for you help :)
Just another day around the Lindy household :)

Wedding Trip
We traveled to see the family last week and to be there for Caleb and Roses' Wedding! We had a wonderful time and though it was NOT long enough, we were able to leave with smiles on our faces knowing that most of the family would be up in a week (Lord willing!). Here's some of the photos from the trip.

Yeah for Ikea!
Emmett loves the Ikea toy section! Not for the toys but for this thing. He could have played all day long!!!
New Tricks
Thanks to Emmett's height he can now reach my parents' refrigerator water dispenser-- much to his excitement. I don't see any harm in playing with the water so he has a ball. We did learn the hard way though that he has to wear socks or he easily ends up on the slippery floor in a not so graceful fashion. Sorry about the sideway videos.... something with the camera phone.
Da at the Park
This video is from March but I love it. Emmett had recently started saying (well, I think he was saying) 'Dad'. Kind of. Anywho, we were at an outdoor waterpark/playground and he was expressing to everyone, very loudly, who he wanted :O)

Playground
Grandpa Time!!
When we took grandpa back to our place to show him around, Emmett gladly gave grandpa several of his toys for safe-keeping including: a horse, a sheep, 2 pickups, and his bright green ball! Grandpa rates VERY high as you can tell by this list!!!!

Zoie Visits
We had the honor of having Zoie over one day last week. The kids had a fabulous time with the bubbles. I can honestly say that the bubble machine was one of our BEST investments!

We also went for a walk and got some very yummy ice cream! There was a mixup at the ice cream place and they were given cheese cake instead of birthday cake ice cream but from the smiles they didn't care in the least!

April Review
I rarely take the time to sit down and take photos off my camera so here's a review of end of March/all of April. We've had a busy couple of months and with upcoming weddings and traveling in the mix, I doubt it will slow down much. When it involves family and friends we're all for it though :O) and we should have plenty to post about in the month of May!
We kept Zoie one day in April and it was such a nice day we had to go outside. We walked over and got some ice cream from Coldstone. Zoie ate hers all nice and neat. Emmett's coat needed to be washed when he was done :) but I think both equally enjoyed their ice cream!!
When those random nice days come you HAVE to take advantage of it. Here Emmett is working with the chalk on the sidewalk. Unfortunately we found out it was against our lease agreement and we had to wash it off but it was a fun afternoon regardless.

There was one weekend in March/April that both Mark and Laura and Popeye and I didn't have anything planned so we planned something! We went to Medieval Times, a dinner show in the area. I was a little worried because of Emmett and his active nature but he LOVED it! He was standing up most of the time watching the horses and the bird. Phew! We thoroughly enjoyed it too :)

Saturday Activities
So even though I'm against doing the whole bunny/egg thing this time of year instead of keeping the focus on our Lord and Savior's sacrifice for us, the town where I grew up had a small egg hunt on Saturday afternoon. We borrowed a basket from 'grandma' and went up to find some eggs filled with yummy candy.
Funny enough, while Emmett did pretty good at finding them and then letting me put them in the basket (even if he tried to take other kids' eggs right out of their baskets :O) his favorite part of the whole 15 minute event was playing with the box of discarded plastic eggs. By far, his fav!
Oh, I love little boys! He didn't mind one bit that there was candy 'in them there eggs' either ;o) Upon that discovery, we had to watch so he didn't shove the candy in wrapper and all!

And the 2nd Place Winner Is.....
Remember the coloring contest Emmett entered (see picture entry on previous post), well he won 2nd place. To funny. He was supposed to go up Saturday and get his picture taken with the other winners but we were out of town so we went up today to get his prize-- a very soft, very cute stuffed bunny that Emmett loves to squeeze to death and throw on the ground. Here's to the start of lots of fun coloring contests :O)

New Words
I'm not 100% Em ever really said those typical first words of 'ma' or 'da'... at least said them and knew what they meant but his vocabulary is growing slowly recently.
He of course knows 'yeah, yeah, yeah' and 'no, no, no' when had needs to use them (and usually properly). He understands when I say 'look', now. When I say ask him if he's 'ready to go?" he usually goes to the door and tries to open it.
New words are 'pizza, pizza!' (though it applies to all foods, not just pizza) as well as
'Ke Cat' (which applies to all animals, not just the kitty cat). He picked the 'kitty cat' words up at my parents house because my mom was calling them over so he could pet them. Now, whenever he says the words he sticks his hand out and tries to snap his fingers to get those silly kitty cats to come over to him! Oh to cute. He's such a little imitator :O)

Learning to Drive the Lawnmower
While we were at my parents house, grandpa took Emmett for a ride in the lawnmower. He said on the back side of the shed, Em actually pushed the grasshopper handles himself for a little while. When he came back around to see us though he was all waves.... such big stuff!!
